What CDC looks like in Practice: A real experience and how it will change the game in Residential Care



Aged care providers will need to change to an an alternative way of operating under Consumer Directed Care (CDC) in residential care. As a result of undertaking trials on CDC in residential care and then implementing the necessary changes a series of models have been developed, These include Service and Financial Models and Consumer and Staff engagement.. This session will provide a Real World experience of CDC in residential care allowing providers to understand the changes and what they need to do to operate under CDC. Apart from these models pathways will be presented on how to prepare for CDC in residential care. Areas such as consumer control of funds, choice and accountability will be covered and a model presented of how to successfully implement CDC into residential care.
